Why to value the simple things of life

We live in a time when to have has become increasingly important than to be.

We need several things to live in an integrated way with society, but have we not broken the barrier of the necessary and even the superfluous to the point of exaggeration?

Consumer society ... its name already says.
But is that really what we long for in our lives?
Does so much consumption make any significant and positive difference for each of us?

Have you noticed that each achievement quickly loses its shine? Our interest gradually fades, as eager for news, we are already "dating" other things to buy, consume and soon abandon, thus forming a vicious circle of desire, achievement, fast satisfaction, frustration, and dissatisfaction, returning to a new one. desire and following the same path automatically and perennially.

We have almost no time or interest in enjoying, enjoying, and feeling real satisfaction with what we have already achieved (or bought). This is often due to our spending habits or endless product updates, news, and new "needs" available every day.

Does this make us happier and more satisfied with our inner and outer life?

At this time of year when the appeal to consumption is increasing sharply, is it not a good time to critically analyze the situation?
Is this not a good time to value what we already have without surrendering to the calls of consumption?

I believe this is the most appropriate time of year to begin to value being more and less having it. Perhaps this inverted emphasis is one of the reasons for the social, moral, political, and ethical degradation prevailing in the country.

Each thing has its value, its moment, its goal. We need the wisdom to learn how to handle these 3 factors satisfactorily.

Value the simple things of life.
Value people for what they are and not for what they have.
Value the pleasant moments.
Value the nice companies.
Value nature, which has so much beauty, simplicity, and complexity at the same time.
Value a hug, a sincere smile.
Appreciate each sip of a glass of water on a hot summer afternoon.
Value organization and discipline.
Value silence and tranquility.
Value restful sleep.
Value health.
Value peace.

Today, decide to value the simple.
Today, decide to value life.

Consumo dizer, que a felicidade é uma porção de coisinhas simples, alegres, que vamos juntando, como se fosse pesas, para construir nossa felicidade.
